Grants Development Officer (UCP VI)
Office of the Dean
School of Engineering

The School of Engineering Dean's Office is seeking applicants for the
position of Grants Development Officer.  The successful candidate will
assist in developing external funding sources and providing pre-award
support for research grants under the direction of the Dean and
Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education in the School of
Engineering, as well as the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Primary duties include: assisting in the preparation of
inter-disciplinary research programs; developing and writing background
and foundational material required for various proposal submissions;
assisting with the preparation of proposal budgets; serving as liaison
with the Office of Sponsored Programs; and developing processes to
streamline proposal submissions.  The successful candidate will also be
responsible for assisting the Dean and Associate Dean in identifying new
research opportunities.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in appropriate area and three to five
years related experience in similar organization or in funding
development; experience in acquisition of external funding; knowledge
and/or experience in field, external funding sources and regulations;
ability to work and communicate effectively with faculty and staff; good
writing skills; attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary commensurate with experience.  This is a one year, end date
position subject to annual renewal.
