Re: Mis-identification of race/ethnicity on NSF grant proposal

Good question, and I would love to learn more if anyone has better
information. NSF Form 1225 indicates only that such data will not be
disclosed to external peer reviewers.

Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] Mis-identification of race/ethnicity on NSF
grant proposal
I don't mean to throw in potentially ANOTHER wrench, but is race a
factor in deciding support on a grant or is NSF simply collecting
data?

Has anyone had experience with a PI possibly mis-identifying
his/her
race/ethnicity on the NSF PI/PD info form? Other than notifying
NSF,
what steps were deemed to be appropriate? Any background anyone
might be
able to provide on this issue would be much appreciated.
