Job Title Project Coordinator Location Provost-Research Campus Main Campus - Temple University Full/Part Time Full Job Number TU-10550 Date Posted 09/20/2007 Bargaining Unit Non-Bargaining Salary Grade TU - T25 Job Qualifications: The Project Coordinator is responsible for providing direct assistance and support to the Director of Pre-Award Sponsored Projects Administration and the Director of Contract Administration and Compliance in the processing and monitoring of all applications for external grants, contracts, subcontracts and sub-awards for the Main Campus. Responsibilities include: assisting in the submission of proposals for external funding and reviewing contents for conformity with University and sponsor policies, procedures and guidelines; maintaining and updating files on government regulations related to contractual agreements and compliance issues e.g., FAR, OMB Circulars, University Policy Manuals; assisting in periodically reviewing the pending and active files to determine the status of a proposal or award; assisting in tracking outstanding contracts, subcontracts and other documents; and assisting in the oversight and resolution of budget and compliance issues related to external grants and contracts. In addition, the incumbent will also be responsible for initial set-up of grant and contract records in database, as well as ongoing data entry, reviewing, and updating functions necessary to maintain accurate and timely records in the electronic research administration system (xxxxxx@TU). Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree plus three (3) to six (6) years related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities: *Demonstrated proficiency in computer and database software skills. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Exceptional organizational skills, along with the ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner despite numerous conflicting priorities and deadlines. *Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team. *Strong problem solving skills. *Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population of administrators, investigators and staff.
