Boise State University’s Office of Sponsored Programs has an
immediate opening for a pre-award sponsored programs administrator.  The
ideal candidate will have knowledge of pre-and-post award grant and
contract management practices in higher education.

Located in the College of Engineering, this position provides support
and assistance to principal investigators and university staff. Major
areas of responsibility include: assist in preparing and submitting
electronic and paper proposals; interpret sponsor guidelines and
university policies;  provide budget development support; ensure
compliance with university, federal and agency regulations, policies,
procedures, forms and guidelines; respond to sponsor inquiries; act as a
liaison to external sponsors and internal administrative units; and
provide assistance with problem resolution.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and previous experience
(preferably two years or more) in research administration or in
preparing and managing grants and contracts required. Basic knowledge of
compliance issues preferred. Prior experience negotiating grants and
contracts and basic knowledge of compliance issues also preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
