Bonnie, It depends on whom you mean by "they" :)
The larger grant makers such as NIH and NSF need to test the 424R&R
forms which are only just now being released by G.g. Thus they will
probably be using the Adobe Forms Applications (AFA) only at the end
of first quarter of 2008. We may not get NIH using the forms prior
to the June-July deadlines.
Smaller agencies with simple forms will be coming along now for
general use. The one Kathy mentions below is a two form, pre-
application.
There is no warning that an application will be AFA when you download
except that the file will show up as .pdf. This is how all files
download for Mac users who then open them with the IBM Viewer
program. You can identify an AFA when you open it by the new "Save
and Submit" button in upper left. Also, you need to move files from
left box to right box in order to open them.
If others end up using these new AFA I would like to learn about your
experiences. Please send me a note about how it goes using them.
Thanks. I'll post info as I learn more.
Bob

I thought I just heard at the SRA conference that they would not be
moving forward with adobe until the earliest Feb, 2008 –Mar 08.
What’s up with that?
