Re: Grants.gov question on auto-fill

This is a long known bug with the PureEdge/Viewer program. Both the
date and the Duns number auto fill to the budget page, but then
cannot be changed on the budget page. NIH will allow you to have
different dates on face page and budget page, with just a warning.
They still give an error message if the DUNS do not agree. WHY? Send
with different dates and live with the warning. Or start over with a
new form.
At one time Michael Kusiak at Berkeley was working on a way to get
into the file's binary structure to make the correction, but then we
expected the Adobe forms to be available any day, so I think Michael
did not publish his fix. This will not be a problem with Adobe.

We are going to submit to Grants.gov for the NIH Oct 5 deadline and
have a problem - We need to change the start/end date - we changed it
on the cover page and thought it would flow thru to the budget pages
but it didn't. AND we can't change it on the budget pages - has
anyone encountered this before? The new date shows on the cover
page but the budget pages show the old date and when we reset the
fields it blanks out the end date but doesn't change the start date.
Hopefully this makes sense and someone has a solution? Thanks....
