We had the same problem. Once I downloaded the 8.0 reader and then
downloaded the form with that, it went in just fine. I hope grants.gov
and NEH (and any other agencies out there!) can get on the same page
with the version they require for submissions.

Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] NEH Summer Stipend Application submission issue
Deb,
I just worked with one of our faculty nominees and ran into the same
issue.
All the documents (minus the Supplemental info form) were converted
using
Adobe 7, but I had to seek out a computer with Adobe 8 for the
Supplemental
info form.
My thought on the g.g use of Adobe 7.0.9 and NEH Adobe 8 is this: since
the
form is an attachment (and not part of the shell g.g package) the form
should come through successfully.
I guess if it doesn't, NEH is more than aware that this is an issue that
shouldn't penalize the applicant (that would be my HOPE). I have had
several communications with NEH on this issue.
Also note that the applicants will not receive the final g.g email that
says
that the grantor agency has assigned the proposal a tracking number
until
after October 2.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you think I can provide any
more
info: xxxxxx@uncp.edu.

Subject: [RESADM-L] NEH Summer Stipend Application submission issue
Hi,
Does anyone have advice on how to successfully submit the NEH Summer
Stipend application through grants.gov? We have faculty members trying
to submit for next week's deadline who registered for g.g individually.
One of the forms in the application package, the Supplemental
Information form for Individuals, must, according to the guidelines, be
downloaded and saved in Adobe 8.0. Unless that happens, according to
NEH, the form can't be saved. We have Adobe 7.0. While the application
submitted today passed successfully through g.g, it was rejected by NEH
because that pdf form was improperly saved. If I can obtain 8.0 to
successfully save the form, will it be accepted in g.g even though they
say 7.0.9 is their preferred version? Neither the NEH or grants.gov
help desks would commit on this question.
I'd appreciate any advice/opinions.
Thanks!
