Boise State University’s Office of Sponsored Programs has an
immediate opening for an experienced grant and contract administrator.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of pre-and-post award
grant and contract management practices in higher education.
Housed in an academic unit, this position provides support and
assistance to principal investigators and university staff. Major areas
of responsibility include: assist in preparing and submitting electronic
and paper proposals; interpret sponsor guidelines and university
policies; provide budget development support; ensure compliance with
university, federal and agency regulations, policies, procedures, forms
and guidelines; respond to sponsor inquiries; act as a liaison to
external sponsors and internal administrative units; and provide
assistance with problem resolution.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and demonstrated
progressive responsible administrative experience in grant and contract
administration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are
required; knowledge of common compliance areas (financial conflict of
interest, export controls) is preferred.
