Deleting forms in the new Adobe version Robert Beattie 19 Jul 2007 16:12 EST

Now I see the situation.  That "delete" button was once explained to
me as a way to delete the entries in the form, like the "reset"
button in the budget forms.  I tried that once but after I moved the
form to the left, and saved and brought it back to the right, all the
data were still there.

Now I think, like Jennifer, "delete" just means take it out of the
submission set.  Not so useful for Mandatory forms, but good if you
accidently put an unwanted Optional form in the right side box.

The more important issue to raise is why have the silly moving back
and forth and "open form button."

In the PureEdge - IBM Forms viewer, you work on the forms while they
are in the left box and then move them to the right when you are
done.  Is this because the programmers thought we users could not
remember when we finished?

In the Webcast, someone said they were keeping the look and feel of
the IBM Viewer -- as if we really wanted that as opposed to a better
look and feel.  But they have not kept that look and feel by changing
the previous strange operation to another, even stranger, one.

Cannot they just show us all the forms in a list, let us open them,
fill them out and leave it at that.  Why all the backing and forthing?

Looks like a bug. Also, I suspect what they are getting at by saying
"move form to delete" is that you are deleting it from the submission
package.

Bob - I am surprised you didn't say anything about the Move Form to
Delete feature - which has an arrow under it giving you the
impression it is moving it back to the left box but instead really
deletes the form.  Why is there even an option to delete a form????
