POSITION: Research Program Officer

Western Michigan University’s VP for Research Office is accepting
online applications through July 23, 2007, for a Research Program
Officer. Duties include working with the  Colleges of Education and
Engineering, consulting with and advising faculty on funding
applications, providing grant writing assistance, promoting funding
opportunities, promoting faculty development through workshops, and
assisting with electronic submission. Qualifications include
bachelor’s degree; three years experience in proposal  planning,
proposal development or grant administration, excellent writing,
research and analytical skills; and budgeting and contract language
experience.  Advanced degree and/or Certified Research Administrator
