Re: Process for managing "not-funded" proposals

At the University of Washington, on an annual basis, our OSP provides a
listing of all unfunded proposals to the dean of each school/college
which get filtered down to the appropriate departments. Those reports
are then reviewed by the department and annotated as to which ones are
unfunded, resubmitted, or still pending, etc. That report is then
forwarded back up the chain to OSP.
