Grants and Contracts Manager

The Geneva Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1993 with
the sole purpose to support and promote the advancement of military
medicine. Our focus is providing quality service to our medical
researchers and excellence in education and training programs
nationwide. The Geneva Foundation provides management and administrative
expertise in the area of federally funded research grants, privately
funded clinical trials, and medical education and training programs.

Description:
The Grants and Contracts Manager, as a key member of the Sponsored
Research Support Program (SRSP) team, will be responsible for:
*	Working with Principal Investigators (PIs) to identify funding
opportunities that match PIs research interests
*	Assisting PIs in developing budgets, budget justifications and
other proposal documents
*	Managing the production of proposals for submission to private
foundations, the National Institutes of Health and other government
agencies to obtain funding for research and product development in areas
of:
-	Infectious diseases
-	Post-traumatic stress disorder
-	Neural trauma
-	Immunology
-	Microbiology
-	Molecular biology
-	Vaccines
-	Drug development
-	Psychology

The Grants and Contracts Manager is also responsible for maintaining and
editing web sites and databases, marketing of SRSP services to PIs, and
assisting with the marketing of WRAIR's capabilities to funding agencies
and potential teaming partners.

Qualifications:
*	Bachelor's degree in business or science (Master's degree
preferred)
*	Experience preparing research proposals
*	Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*	Proficiency in word processing applications, database management
and financial spreadsheets
*	Knowledge of Office of Management Budget Regulations (OMB),
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and human subject and animal
protection regulations (preferred)
*	Previous work experience in a military healthcare environment
(preferred)
*	Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, & able to manage
multiple priorities (required).
