JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: PROPOSAL ADMINISTRATOR I Job Location: Dulie Bell Building - College Station, TX
Department: PREAWARD Work Hours: M-F 8:00 to 5:00
Monthly Rate of Pay: $2773
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for research proposal preparation including preparation of budgets and other required forms, and making sure that the proposal package is complete before being forwarded to the sponsor. Provide support to TAMUS researchers in the preparation and submission of research proposals, including determining the sponsor's requirements, preparation of budget and forms according to the guidelines established by TAMUS, OMB Circulars and sponsors' guidelines. Coordinate the preparation of proposals with researchers, sponsors, University system employees and internal staff as required. Prepare proposal revisions and respond to other requests related to proposal submission as required.
EDUCATION
REQUIRED
Bachelors degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience (eight years experience with high school graduation or four years with an Associate
degree).
PREFERRED
Prefer Bachelors degree in business administration.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
Two years experience. General knowledge of scientific terminology and experience in preparing manuscripts, spreadsheets, or contract & grant budgets; the ability to
consistently meet deadlines; and knowledge of personal computer to prepare spreadsheets or database documents are required. Proofreading skills and experience
using Excel and Word in a work environment is essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service are necessary.
PREFERRED
Experience in research proposal preparation and submission.

This position is with the Texas A&M Research Foundation; a private non-profit corporation separate from Texas A&M University. Therefore, service time will not transfer between the two.
