Pay isn't great, but I'm not looking for a lot of experience either.  The 3 years of experience can be in any administrative/financial position, not necessarily grants. Grant Technician

This position is responsible for providing both financial and administrative support for grant funds awarded to the Alaska SeaLife Center.

Primary Responsibilities:
􀂃 Organize and maintain a central file for grant documents to include: award documents, contacts, key dates, reporting requirements and all related correspondence
􀂃 Prepare financial reports and invoices required by ASLC management and external funding agencies
􀂃 Review financial performance and monitor activity to ensure compliance
􀂃 Assist program staff in tracking budgets and spending for grants
􀂃 Set up and close out grant awards

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of three years experience in a similar position; advanced Excel skills; grant and accounting knowledge preferred; skills in organizing and prioritizing; ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and to work independently; ability to interact effectively with staff, senior management, funding agencies, and grantees; and ability to maintain confidentiality.
