Syracuse University is seeking candidates for the position of Executive
Director of the Office of Sponsored Accounting.  Reporting to the
Associate Comptroller, this position will provide executive management
of the Office of Sponsored Accounting, overseeing the review,
compliance, and reporting functions relating to sponsored research,
training and other awards made to the University by outside
agencies/institutions. This position is also responsible for maintaining
a strong collaborative relationship with the Office of Sponsored
Programs as well as providing and promoting customer service and
communications with faculty and campus administrators involved in
sponsored activities.

Candidates should have a minimum of five to ten years of progressively
responsible experience in accounting for sponsored research activities,
including compliance with federal regulations and reporting requirements
(OMB Circulars  A-21 and A-133), working in a higher education
management role emphasizing customer service. The position requires
integrity, sound judgment, and strong leadership and communication
skills.  An undergraduate degree in accounting is required, and an
advanced degree or CPA is preferred.
