This actually looks quite useful.  I was not aware of the Decision Tree

In your opinion, are the US Department of Commerce's "Export Control
Decision Tree" and "Subject to the EAR" chart the most useful guidelines
for you, or do you have some other procedure you use to determine if
something is subject to the EAR and if an export control license is
required?
