Was not my intention whatsoever to craft a tirade. The position
description to be fair does not represent entry-level skills, which
first caught my attention in contrast to the salary. I shared my
opinion openly. And likewise, I highly recommend the description is
rewritten to express a skills-set (entry-level) representative of
the salary.

My apologies for the economic challenges MA IHE face. Michigan
understands too well what this means.

Gina,

 This is essentially an entry level position in Research
Administration.  I
don't know what the situation is at Western Michigan, but we're a
relatively
small science and engineering school that is trying to come to
grips with
past budget shortfalls and deficits. While we do wish that we could
offer
more, at the present time, our reality is such that this is the
best we can
do at the moment.

I do wish that you had directed your tirade at either myself,
directly, or
our Director, rather than address the entire Red-Adm community. I'd
ask for a
public apology, but somehow, I don't feel that it would be
forthcoming.

 In the future, you can feel welcome to comment directly to our
office.
