Google search on Data Destruction Companies. It would best to have one
of them to do it than to do it yourself. That way you have third party
verification that the destruction was carried out.

Here's a Friday afternoon question that's a little out of the
ordinary...

We have a grant that ended ten years ago.  The study required the
videotaping of geriatric patients,  and the data was captured on 200 VCR
tapes.  Per the agreement, we are now required to destroy those tapes.

Does anyone have experience with something like this?  How do you go
about
efficiently  destroying 200 VCR tapes, ensuring that EVERYTHING is
destroyed, and thus protecting the confidentiality of all those patients
that were taped?
