University of North Carolina system's definition of "sponsored programs"
at

padmin.htm (click on either the Word or PDF version of the document at
the second bullet).

Can someone please give me a clear easily understood definition of the
following:

 Grant

 Contract

 Sponsored Program

Also, I am establishing an Advisory Group for the newly established
Office of Sponsored Programs and Research at Governors State University.

Do others have such a group and, if so, can you give me some insight
into how to direct such a group?  What criteria is used for establishing
and staffing the group and what are the general areas of concern such a
group might address?
