Overview
Acts as the primary public face for ORS Funding Opportunities. Helps
identify and promote funding opportunities for Campus and Medical Center
faculty and students. Conducts frequent outreach to schools,
departments, and individuals to help achieve goals including: improving
knowledge of the grant application process, increasing awareness of ORS
services, and facilitating proposal development.

Specific Responsibilities
· Organizes and conducts workshops and training sessions on locating
sources of funding and proposal writing for Campus and Medical Center
faculty, staff, and students. · Develops materials and leads
presentations for annual Campus faculty and graduate student orientation.
· Develops and maintains the schedule for all ORS classes and workshops.
· Trains individual campus faculty, students, and staff in methods of
finding funding opportunities.
· Acts as liaison with various Campus and Medical Center groups as
needed to assist with their funding activities.
· Maintains and updates ORS website providing information relevant to
outreach efforts.
· Compiles information for ORS annual report.

Qualifications
· Excellent public presentation skills and ability to work with faculty,
staff, and students
· Strong organizational and information retrieval skills
· Good working knowledge of PC-based software, including Microsoft Word
and PowerPoint
· Strong written and verbal communications skills · Bachelor’s degree
required, master’s degree desirable (or equivalent experience)
