Subject: [RESADM-L] Third Party Commitments

We are seeing more and more opportunities from both federal and
non-federal
sponsors which include match requirements. Because of the level of
match
required, or sometimes because of the requirements within the
opportunity
itself, these commitments are being provided through third-party
guarantees. Once the award is received, our challenge is then to be
sure
our third parties reaffirm their commitments, understand financial
requirements in documenting their commitments, and are provided with a
timeline on which they must report and document the match to our
College.

Does anyone have a template document they provide to third parties?
When
we have subcontracts which require a match component, the match
requirement is incorporated into the subcontract agreement. However, we
do
not have a document which goes to third parties in regard to their third

party commitments.

Any guidance/suggestions regarding how to work with these would be most
appreciated.

Carol
