Re: NIH Management plan Robert Beattie 13 Sep 2006 16:44 EST

Note that this applies only to Multi-PI applications. The management
plan is to ensure that the work gets done when there is no single
person in charge.

There is much good info on this here

Hello all:

Besides the paragraph that appears in the RFA (please see below),
could someone please point to any guidance on this "management plan"?
This is new to the PI, and he is looking for some clarification. I
would greatly appreciate any help you may provide.

The cluster of applications must clearly describe the management of
the collaborative research. To ensure this, they must include a
management plan and identify a scientific steering committee. The
management plan will:

Outline plans and mechanisms to keep the project focused and
progressing.
Set intermediate milestones on a timeline to allow for the evaluation
of progress towards the project's goal.
Explain how collaborators can be added or removed as the expertise,
knowledge, and skills necessary to advance the project change.
Describe how intellectual property issues will be handled.

Thanks very much,
Natalie
