Research Admin. Certification Council: call for Board Members Kathryn A Watkins-Wendell 24 Aug 2006 13:38 EST

Dear Colleagues:

The Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) is currently
recruiting active CRAs to sit on its Board of Directors. The Council was
formed in 1993 and is an independent, nonprofit organization composed of
active certified research administrators whose role it is to certify that
an individual, through experience and testing, has the fundamental
knowledge necessary to be a professional research or sponsored programs
administrator. Board members represent a cross-section of the academic,
geographic and practice interests within research administration. The
Board meets annually at the SRA International Meeting. This year's Board
meeting will be held in Quebec City.

Board members are required to be active, and contribute to RACC functions
such as: Preparation of exam questions, reviews and updates of exams, CRA
test preparation reviews for those wishing to sit for the exam, serving as
a mentor to CRA study groups, helping in the design and creation of RACC
promotional materials, and/or staffing the RACC booth at SRA and NCURA
conferences.

If you are willing and able to make this commitment to serve, and are
interested in being considered for membership on the Board, please send a
letter of interest along with your current resume to Katie Watkins, Vice
Chair, RACC, at xxxxxx@csuohio.edu.
