Partners HealthCare, located in Boston, is an integrated health system founded
by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in 1994. In
addition to its two academic medical centers, the Partners system also includes
community hospitals, specialty hospitals, community health centers, a physician
network, home health and long-term care services, and other health-related
entities.
We currently have several new positions open for Grant Administrators (Pre &
Post Award) at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Responsibilities include: Completes transactions for Sr. Admin sign-off; Fields
telephone, fax and email inquiries, and communicates institutional policy,
procedure and documentation requirements; Directs customers to funding source
materials and search tools within the office and on the internet; Works with Sr.
Admin and G & C Officer on complex transactions; Establishes and maintains
electronic and paper records in compliance with institutional and sponsor
policies; Reviews grant or contract project budgets, obtains/verifies necessary
approvals, and recommends/negotiates changes to applications with P.I.s and/or
department administrators; Coordinates receipt of update information requested
by sponsor representatives before issue of awards and sign-off by Sr. Grant
Administrators; With support of Sr. Admin/GC Officer, negotiates terms and
conditions of research agreements and awards from various sponsors; Establishes
GC fund accounts in accordance with institutional policy; Monitors
award/agreement milestone schedule.  Supports processing of non-competing
continuations, supplements and other award/agreement amendments; Processes
no-cost extensions; Coordinates processing of checks for deposit and cost
transfer documentation, research personnel change forms.
Ideal candidates will have a BS degree, 2-5 years of experience, ability to
thrive in a busy, high-volume, and deadline driven work environment that
requires coordination of multiple activities and the judgment and flexibility to
reprioritize to accommodate emergency requests. Also requires independent and
strong organization and communication skills as well as customer service focus.
