Does anyone know who to contact now to discuss CRA stuff. I had such an
amazing conversation with Herb at the sectional meeting in Charleston,
SC a few months ago and need to contact someone regarding renewing my
CRA. We've all shared our sadness of his passing, but his knowledge
will certainly live on.
I look forward to hearing back regarding a contact person.
Thanks,
Lori

Michael,
I have done so successfully for 2 people in my office. I pointed out
the specific depth & breadth of the experience that they had in the
research administration field. I made sure that my strong letter of
recommendation pointed out the specific competencies that each of them
had gained through experiential, rather than formal educational means.
Since most all of us learned research administration that way, it was
not difficult to convince the RACC that they should be eligible to take
the exam.

Dear Collegues,
I am assisting a handful of people at our institution who are
interested
in obtaining the CRA designation.
One of these does not have a college degree but does have 15 years of
experience in the RA field. We are aware of the petition waiver that
is
required. Has anyone gone through this process that can give some
guidance to us?
Thank you for your assistance,
Michael DeShazo, CRA
