preferred.
Grant Development Administrator and Writer This position serves as the
key point of contact for all research development activities and
requires a seasoned professional capable of envisioning potential
collaborations and partnerships from members of the Syracuse University
and local region for grant applications to federal and non-federal
sponsors. Demonstrated experience in grant writing and in the
development of collaborative proposals or cross-functional teams is
required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, solid
administrative experience and strategic thinking aptitude are required.
This position is responsible for appropriate dissemination of funding
opportunities, identifying and encouraging inter- and
intra-institutional collaborations for new grant applications, and
fostering an environment that heightens the visibility of sponsored
research within the University. Additionally, this person will prepare
curriculum for and conduct training for faculty and staff on funding
opportunities, trends and grant writing in a one-on-one and small group
setting. This position is ideally suited for an outgoing and confident
individual capable of relating well to diverse personalities in a
one-on-one and small group setting.
