WSU seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Post-Award Services in its
office of Research and Sponsored Programs.  The Associate Director
assists the Director of Post-Award with regard to post-award
administrative issues and assumes full responsibility of the post-award
unit in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities include: Monitoring facility and administrative (F&A)
costs to ensure adherence to sponsor regulations and the university F&A
policy; periodically running queries to check the accuracy of the
information in Banner; working with Controller's Office on resolving
errors with Banner data that affect financial reporting; assisting the
Director of Post-Award on the timely closeout of grants; initiating and
administering all subcontracts negotiated on grants/contracts.  Other
duties include: routinely analyzing financial status of active accounts
to ensure that expenditures conform to policy and agency regulations;
initiating the necessary corrective action for compliancer; reviewing
and approving all grant expenditures $1,000 and above.  Further

Education and Experience:   Bachelor's degree in accounting or related
field with 5-7 years relevant professional experience. Proficiency in
Excel (Windows).

Preferred:  Pursuit of MBA or CPA desirable. Experience working in a
team environment.  Experience in fiscal aspects of extramurally funded
projects in an academic environment. Familiarity with Federal and State
regulations pertaining to grants and contracts. Experience with SCT
Banner, Filemaker Pro and SQL.  Some background in MIS and/or IT.
