Faculty teaching buy-out question
David McGinnis 27 Jun 2006 10:58 EST
Greetings all - I am wondering how your university handles faculty teaching
buy-out from grants. We currently allow each Dean to set their college's
policy and I want to create a standard practice for our whole university. I
would greatly appreciate any advice and wisdom on how you have handled this.
BTW, we are primarily a teaching school with a typical faculty teaching load
of 12 credits per semester. We have a standard rate of pay ($650 per credit
hour) for adjuncts who might be hired to teach a class.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Cheers,
Dave
