Re: Grants.gov submission for NIH proposal Stormy Staley 23 Jun 2006 14:59 EST

Hi Kim,

Yes, you could reject that submission, correct the changes, and then
resubmit before the deadline. One question, is the deadline really
today or Monday since the 25th is a Sunday?

As long as you're before the deadline, it's not a problem to reject and
re-submit. We did that on our recent R03 submission and it was to
correct errors of a lesser magnitude than the ones you are referring to.
Careful not to wait until the end of the day on the deadline date to
resubmit.

Good luck!

Yesterday, Michigan Tech submitted a proposal to NIH via grants.gov
for the AREA solicitation. The proposal was accepted by eRA
Commons. When the PI reviewed the grant image in Commons, he noticed
a misquote in the introduction, a structure error, a figure error and
some typos.

Is this an acceptable reason for us to reject the application and
resubmit since it is prior to the submission deadline (6/25/06)? I
have contacted NIH but I have not heard back from them yet.

Thank you in advance for your help.
