Arizona State University is seeking an IRB Coordinator with the job
description below.
The Research Compliance Institutional Review Board (IRB) Coordinator
provides administrative and technical support for the day-to-day
activities of the human research protection program, which is part of
the Research Compliance Office. The position provides critical
preliminary reviews of all items submitted to the IRB office
encompassing both Behavioral/Social Science and Biomedical/Bioscience
research interests to ensure timely and efficient processing of research
related requests by verifying completeness of submissions and
disposition to the appropriate Board, committee, or IRB Chair according
to federal regulations and internal policies. This position involves use
of organizational skills and research knowledge in the application of
regulations that promote human subject oversight activities. It also
entails exercising independent judgment and using decison-making and
analytical skills in the application of federal regulations. This
position also attends all bi-monthlyIRB meetings and takes and
distributes the minutes. The IRB Coordinator reports directly to the
Manager of the Research Compliance Office.
