Re: Spouses working as PI/CO-PI's

When this situation comes up, we ask another person, such as the
department chair to 'supervise' (i.e., monitor hours spent on the
project, or whatever) the work of the co-PI, so that there is no direct
reporting situation between wife and husband. We also disclose in the
application that they are married. We have several married couples
employed here in faculty positions, so I will be interested to hear
others' responses.

Subject: [RESADM-L] Spouses working as PI/CO-PI's
I am looking for information on how other institutions handle spouses
who
are both employed at the institutions and want to work together on
externally funded projects, where one is acting as the PI and the other
as
the Co-PI.
Thank you,
