Bob, Each group gets the same benefits. The fringe benefit composite rate based on the relation to salary. For example, if there are 6 people coded as researchers (post docs who need assistance)with a total annual salary of $255,000 the benefit rate per individual would be less than the 8 people coded Acad. Researchers (post docs who can work independently) with a total annual salary of $249,000. Is this as clear as mud?
