Try Again Elsa Nadler 29 Mar 2006 13:41 EST

Folks,
I am going to try again. If you want to send a reply directly to the
sender of a message, DO NOT send your reply to the entire list. This
means you should NOT simply hit "reply." Mauneel has the easiest
solution if you follow the steps outlined below:

1. hit your "reply" button
2. copy (CTRL-C or Command-C for Mac users) the senders address, which
appears in the very first line of the new "reply" message and looks
something like this
 >>> xxxxxx@some.edu 03/29/06 12:01 PM >>>
3. erase the xxxxxx@HRINET.ORG address from the "To:" line of the
note
4. Paste (CTRL-V or command-V) the "xxxxxx@some.edu" address in the
'To:' slot

 Now you can
5. compose your message
6. send your message

If you have followed steps outlined above, you will send your message
to ONLY the person who send the original note and NOT the entire list
(which does NOT want to see "I agree," "thank you," "me, too," or "I
also want one"). You will also have the advantage of including all the
original text of the message to which you are replying.

If anyone has any questions on this process or is confused by my
instructions, I would be happy to elucidate. You can contact me at
xxxxxx@hsc.wvu.edu or by phone (indicated below).

my thanks to you all,
