"just Filemaker Pro" ?? That is a great program. The entire Proposal and Awards Data Base at the University of Michigan runs on just Filemaker Pro. We manage 4000 proposals and 2500 some awards per year with this system. True, the Accountants have PeopleSoft General Ledger and the two systems do not communicate but for the purposes of the Grants Office, we are excellently served by just Filemaker Pro on our 30 some Macs (why we are not happy with Grants.gov right now). The Accountants need to re- enter a few data items but they like to do that sort of thing, or at least they have not tried to create an interface. For anyone who needs a proposal and award management system with little expense for either Mac or windows based PC's I strongly recommend that you check out just Filemaker Pro. I am sure that for a smaller institution, a financial component could be added too. Bob xxxxxx@umich.edu On Mar 29, 2006, at 11:14 AM, Carol Kernahan wrote: We don't have all those capabilities. It would be nice. Right now we're just using FileMaker Pro.
