Fixing a "split identity" on eRA commons Mitchell Maltenfort 10 Mar 2006 18:16 EST

I'm trying to debug a problem on NIH's eRA commons for someone.
Hopefully, someone out there has a fix for this, because I've been
going through channels and running in circles.

Dr. X. changed departmental affiliations and rank some time ago. She
updated her personal profile on eRA commons.

However, she is _still_ getting email that refers to her old rank and
department, specifically email relating to her role on NIH study
sections.

I phoned tech support at eRA commons twice. First time, I was told "go
through the reviewer link," which Dr. X had already done. Second time,
I was told "talk to the SRA for the study sections." Dr. X had, and
was told to talk to the university, who told her they couldn't do
anything about it.

I'm still optimistically assuming that I can at some point tell a eRA
commons support person "go to this field in that database and correct
these facts," but right now it's still the classic tech support
experience -- no fun, no satisfaction, no results.

Can anyone assist?

Thanks in advance.

Mitch Maltenfort

I can answer any question.
"I don't know" is an answer.
"I don't know yet" is a better answer.
