Email list hosting service & mailing list manager

Re: Question Mike L. Varney 14 Feb 2006 16:55 EST

I'll answer Helen's note for everyone's benefit (as I've already gotten a
few other similar notes):

To set yourself for digest mode, send the following email to
xxxxxx@HRINET.ORG:

SET RESADM-L DIGEST

To go back to individual emails, send:

SET RESADM-L MAIL

It should be noted that even if you're in digest mode, you can still read
up-to-the-minute discussions at http://www.hrinet.org.

If you're going on vacation, send the following:

SET RESADM-L NOMAIL

All the list messages won't be sent to you until you come back and send the
MAIL (or DIGEST) command above. You can catch up on the discussions by
using the web archive.

One added benefit of the web archive that ListServ maintains: It hides all
your email addresses from the Internet scum. You have to be a list memeber
and login with a password in order to be able to get the email addresses of
the authors.

 Question

Mike: I’m relatively new to the listserv and don’t remember how to do the
“digest” thing. Now that I’ve been on the listserv, I realize how busy it
is and would prefer to get my messages in digest format. Any help you can
give me would be greatly appreciated. Second question – I assume I have to
unsubscribe if I’m putting a vacation message out there. Am I reading your
email correctly? Thanks for your help. Helen
