This email is to announce a professional level position, Assistant
Fiscal Officer (SL-4), in the Business Office of the State University of
New York College at Cortland (SUNY Cortland).  The position acts as the
direct operational assistant to the Research Foundation (RF) Fiscal
Officer (AVPF) and the RF Operations Manager (VPFM) for all aspects of
Research Foundation fiscal administration (sponsored research post award
administration).

Specifically, the position:

* maintains budgetary control and audit functions for sponsored program
accounts
* processes all financial activity for accounts, including vendor
payments, cash receipts, journal entries, etc.
* completes all fiscal reporting, including review of budget proposals,
budget amendments, and preparation of final reports
* maintains full compliance with RF policies and guidelines as well as
applicable SUNY and sponsor requirements, under the highest ethical
standards of administrative and business practices
* promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships
with various offices and staff, including Project Directors, Sponsored
Programs, Human Resources, and the offices at Research Foundation
Central Administration in Albany.

This position directly supervises a Calculations Clerk 2 position
assigned to the RF Fiscal Office and reports to the Associate Vice
President for Finance.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. Strong knowledge of computer
skills also required, as well as expert interpersonal and communication
skills. Minimum five years related experience necessary, preferably in a
not for profit setting, Grant and contract administration experience
highly desirable.
