Hi all,
Very new in Grants (just over one year) and first time posting. The
grant accountant who has been in post award for over 30 years is
retiring and we are in the process of evaluating personnel needs for
post award activities. In our institution pre and post award are totally
separate.

With that background, could you please respond to a short survey:

1. Number of employees in post award in your institution (if pre and
post awards are combined, approximate FTE in post award activities).

Functions of grant accounting group

 Proposal budget review;
 Award financial set up
 Cost share tracking system setup
 Financial report preparation and closing document collection and
transmittal
 Billings
 LOC Cash draws
 Transaction monitoring (cost transfer approvals) expense code
screening
 Activity report form generation, collection and review
 Grant close-out
 Special financial reviews and individual department support

Assistant Director 		1 FTE
Accountants				4 FTE
Account Setup specialist	1 FTE

 Total				6 FTE
