Subject: Grants.gov System Maintenance Alert
The Grants.gov Team is excited to announce on Monday, December 19th,
Grants.gov will release new features and enhancements.
In order to complete the enhancements, Grants.gov will experience system
downtimes beginning 5 PM ET on December 16, 2005 to 8 AM ET, Monday,
December 19, 2005.
Applicants will not be able to search for grant opportunities or submit
applications during this period. For more information pertaining to this
system upgrade, please visit our website.
Also, please be aware of these other changes that have occurred at the
Grants.gov website:
1. PureEdge Viewer Upgrade: In August, Grants.gov upgraded its PureEdge
Viewer. If you downloaded the viewer post August, you will already have the
new upgrade. If you have not had the opportunity to upgrade your viewer,
please use the following link:
http://www.grants.gov/PEViewer/PureEdgeUpgradeSetup.exe. You can also check
to see if you have the latest version when you open an application package;
a warning box will appear to inform you that will need to download this
upgrade.
2. Coming Availability of the Citrix Server for Non-Windows Users: On
Tuesday, December 20th, Grants.gov, partnering with the National Institutes
of Health, will unveil the availability of a Citrix Server solution for
Non-Windows Users to access the PureEdge Application Packages without having
to use Windows Emulation Software. Please visit the website on December 20th
to learn more about the Citrix Server.
3. Central Contractor Registration (CCR): On October 30th, the Central
Contractor Registry (http://www.ccr.gov) began to verify organizations'
Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN) with the Internal Revenue Service
(IRS). For existing registration profiles, this currently will not affect
your Grants.gov registration, but organizations need to have that
information corrected in order to keep your CCR profile valid.
Again, thank you for your understanding during this period of transition. We
appreciate your patience.
Sincerely,
The Grants.gov Team
