We also use paper (a form created in Word that requires the Department
Head's signature); currently we have no tie-in to our Finance system.

And, on the faculty pay issue, our faculty can choose whether to have
their checks spread out over 9 months or 12 months, but they know they
are hired for 9 months of work - they have a contract saying so.
