crabby or not, here i come.  if they are 9-month faculty as designated
by their contracts, it doesn't matter how many paychecks they receive,
they can still receive support for three summer months.  the point is
that their effort is 100% for 9 months; the effort is not related to the
number of increments into which your institution chooses to divide their
base salary.
