The University of Alaska Fairbanks Office of Sponsored Programs is currently recruiting for a Pre-Award Administrator.

Job Summary:

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) provides support to UAF faculty and staff applying for external funds for research and other scholarly activities. The OSP is also responsible for protecting UAF's interests by reviewing proposals to external funding sponsors for compliance with federal, state, and university regulations, initiating and implementing pre-award policies and procedures, providing training and outreach, and serving as a liaison between sponsors and UAF.

The Pre-Award Administrator carries out the mission and associated duties of the OSP. The Pre-Award Administrator: coordinates activities with the Senior Pre-Award Administrator of the OSP; keeps the OSP Director informed of new developments, information, or situations needing attention; provides information about potential federal, state, and private sources of funding as needed; facilitates the development of high-quality proposals that meet sponsor criteria by assisting with proposal and budget preparation; provides final UAF review on all proposals to be submitted to sponsors before Authorized Organizational Representative approval; acts as a liaison between UAF and sponsors concerning pre-award issues; works with faculty and staff to solve pre-award problems before proposals are submitted to sponsors; and provides training to faculty and staff on relevant pre-award issues and regulations.
