Job Duties:
Provide accounting, financial, and compliance support for competitive research and sponsored project grants received by Children's. Responsibilities include producing a monthly financial and analysis package for grants, preparing cost analyses for indirect costs and core research support facilities, supporting the annual A-133 grants audit, assisting researchers in preparing budgets for grant applications, coordinating pre and post-award activities, and developing a comprehensive grants compliance audit function. Provide Foundation support for restricted and unrestricted funds.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or Finance
2 to 4 years medical research accounting
5 to 7 years of overall accounting or financial experience
Audit experience in public, corporate, or institutional settings
Solid understanding of accounting principles, OMB Circulars, and GAAP
Excellent spreadsheet and database skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
