STAFF ASSISTANT/PRE-AWARD RESEARCH ADMINISTRATOR
GRANT AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Pre-Award Research Administrator is responsible for University proposal review, negotiation and submission; interpretation and implementing of Federal, State and University policies and regulations; education and training for sponsored activities; resource person for faculty and staff; and liaison with sponsoring agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in business or other related field and 1-3 years related experience.
2. Previous experience in an Institution of Higher Education desirable.
3. Previous experience working with federal rules, regulations and policies (i.e., OMB Circulars A-21 and A-110, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), etc.) governing administration of grants and contracts required.
4. Strong oral and written communications skills required.
5. Experience working with email, the web and word processing packages required.

Hiring Salary Range:  $35,400 - $45,100;  Normal Hiring Range: $35,400 - $40,300
