I believe it is up to the prime as to whether they get an extension. They are bound by a subcontract, so it would have to be approved by the prime to get an extension. The NIH Grants Policy Statement states (under Administrative Requirements-Expanded Authorities): "For awards using SNAP, funds are automatically carried over to the subsequent budget period." Does this apply to subrecipients too?
