 OFFICE OF RESEARCH & SPONSORED PROGRAMS
POSITION SUMMARY:	The Coordinator reports to the Director and monitors programmatic, regulatory and fiscal activities of externally sponsored programs funded by private and government agencies. Complex analytical duties related to post award services are required. Specific responsibilities include monitoring project administration; payment authorizations; submitting detailed budgets which may include negotiations with external sponsors; preparing and submitting various reports for the
university and the external sponsor, and includes close-out functions.
The Coordinator also serves as liaison between university officials,
principal investigators, staff and funding agency representatives in
negotiation and interpretation of terms and conditions of awards while
performing related tasks as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:	A Bachelor's degree in a related area of Business Administration; at least three years of progressive responsibility in the business accounting field; ability to utilize independent judgment and discretion; ability to produce time-sensitive, accurate information on sponsored project matters; excellent organizational skills; must be self-motivated and work well under pressure with limited supervision;
handle a multitude of tasks and be team-oriented; have superior
communication skills; must be dedicated to providing timely customer
service with exceptional interpersonal capabilities; be proficient in
an automated environment including effective utilization of Microsoft
Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and navigation of the
Internet for information retrieval. A combination of education and
work experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:	A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years previous experience in a university sponsored program office in post-award administration; a demonstrated knowledge of federal funding agency regulations specifically the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) A-21, A-110, and A-133 Circulars.

SALARY RANGE:		Minimum $31,110 or commensurate with 					experience
