Re: NIH Commons software Caskey, William PhD. 31 Mar 2005 15:13 EST

The Children's Mercy Hospital has selected grantsERA from RAMS, Inc.,
one of the NIH SBIR Phase I and II vendors. We have successfully
submitted proposals using through RAMS to the NIH during the pilot
program since October 2001. The pilot program is somewhat different from
the final version in that documents were uploaded to a RAMS server where
the software assembled the proposal and "submitted" it to the NIH via
the Commons. The software itself has a proposal development module that
will allow investigators to develop proposals. Once developed there is a
routing tool and a submission tool. The submission will actually consist
of a ticket documenting the submission and directing the NIH servers
where the application resides for retrieval when the bandwidth permits.
Note that such system to system communications will require
certification by the NIH...Bill

Subject: [RESADM-L] NIH Commons software

I'm taking a quick and dirty survey of what software people have chosen
to use in submitting proposals to NIH commons. I gather there are
several different vendors. Any war stories?
Thanks for your help.
Susan
