Re: Hiring on sponsored projects Jennifer Liasson 03 Feb 2005 12:15 EST
We require a written memo from the PI to our Office of Equal Employment
Opportunity through our Office of Research Services requesting that the
standard University recruitment policies be waived. The rationale for
the waiver is that the individual was indentified in the proposal and
that the sponsor granted the award with that individual as part of the
project team.

Our EEO office has determined that the written request requiring their
review and approval keeps us in compliance as an Affirmative
Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
