Description of Basic Duties:
Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Grant Accountants, the Grant Accountant is responsible for the daily operations of post-award grant administration and related accounting duties. This position will serve as the appropriate Principal Investigator's contact for all grants and contract administration and related accounting functions. Performs all grant related post-award functions according to the terms and conditions of the sponsor including, but not limited to, budget and expense analysis, monthly invoicing, financial reporting, labor distribution changes and re-budgeting. The Grant Accountant supports a positive and constructive relationship between various personnel and departments.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
BS/BA or equivalent work experience preferred, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business. Requires strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages. Individual should have strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of analytical ability. Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
