Office of Research and Sponsored Programs University of Maine Grant and Contract Administrator The University of Maine, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, is seeking a full-time Grant and Contract Administrator. The Grant and Contract Administrator reports to the Director, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include the preparation, review, and submission of proposals, contracts, and subcontracts including assistance with budgets and forms. The Grant and Contract Administrator will interpret relevant regulations, guidelines and University policies, and will coordinate the receipt of awards and contracts with Principal Investigators and post-award administrators. The Grant and Contract Administrator will review and edit reports on sponsored project activity and maintain submission and funding records in a database, and will participate and/or assist in special projects and may also supervise other employees with associated duties. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or related field or an equivalent mixture of postsecondary education, and relevant work experience. Demonstrated communication skills. Working knowledge of e-mail, spreadsheets, electronic databases and the Internet. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external constituencies. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiate and manage multiple proposals that have deadlines for submission. Salary Range: This is a full-time, fiscal year appointment. Proposed annual salary range $28,000 - $42,000 based on education and experience, with full University benefits. Appropriate background checks will be required.
